Our passion for the tourism industry was born from observing our father and uncle construct holiday homes in Lapland in the 1990s. Winters in Levi were a cherished time shared by family and friends. Our memories include outdoor activities, sports, time spent together, and more or less voluntary building work. Often the whole extended family and neighbors were recruited. Nevertheless, spending holidays amidst construction projects was a treasured time; the children and the family pets were invited to partake.
Cosy apartments were developed for family and friends, designed for active outdoor people like ourselves. Along with the local community, we created our accommodation and hospitality services from the ground up, with hard work and grit.
Today, the same close-knit group of family and friends support us, the sisters, Juulia, and Sofia, as we guide Alpine Chalets into an expanding and sustainable future. Together with our fantastic team, we take good care of the privately owned Alpine Chalets, and above all, of the customers’ dream holidays.
We are here for you
Juulia Siikarla
Cheerful Juulia is a dedicated, hands-on manager who stepped in her sister Sofia’s boots to lead the company. What matters the most to her is the absolute success of the guests’ holiday experience.
Juulia received a Bachelor of Hospitality Management degree in Rovaniemi and studied also in Austria. She loves working with the guests and the employees amidst excitement of Levi. She finds time and empathy for all. The dynamic and athletic Juulia can potentially encounter you on the slopes, cross country skiing tracks, or on a hike. Or in Levi’s famous nightlife, dancing until the wee hours of the night.
Sofia Siikarla
Ironclad Sofia takes charge behind the curtains and is the other half of the dynamic sister duo. Sofia received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Switzerland and also studied in Helsinki and the Netherlands. For years, Sofia was chiefly responsible for accommodation activities. Now she brings her unique expertise to the development of Levi Alpine Chalets.
After Juulia took over the operational leadership, Sofia focused on realising her vision of Alpine Chalets as a unique front-runner in their field. The life of this unwavering entrepreneur, owner of an Alaskan malamute, and a mother of three is a rewarding mix of busyness and business.
Miia Saiho
Miia, a travel industry expert, offers support, security, and innovative ideas for the joy and benefit of group travelers. Miia’s competent hands create luxurious tailor-made Alpine Chalet holiday packages or conference trips in cooperation with our reliable partners. Spontaneous issues are resolved together on the spot, allowing even the group leaders to enjoy and spend relaxing moments with the guests.
As a local Laplander, Miia can spend her free time away from Levi’s commotion. Either at her country-style home, in the outdoor sauna, or enjoying the ambiance of the outdoor fire pit.
Leila Köngäs
Leila is a lovely Lappish lady and another Kittilä native. Thanks to her supervision, the housekeeping team is thriving and taking excellent care of Alpine Chalets. The organisation and further development of services are in Leila’s trusted hands. She is always taking care of the interests of the guests.
In her spare time, the artistic Leila paints and enjoys spending time at her holiday cottage. She enjoys life, children, and grandchildren. And, of course, cleanliness and order.
Oleksandr Kutsenko
Oleksandr, a big-hearted maintenance man, is always where help is needed. The Alpine Chalets remain in excellent condition thanks to his strong character, with snow cleared out and chalets spick and span. Oleksandr is always in a great mood and ready to rush to the aid of our team and guests.
Originally from Ukraine, yet having worked in Finland for over ten years, he is active in charity work in his free time, promoting the cause of distressed Ukrainians in Finland and their homeland.
Kaisa Rantanen
A cheerful and calm voice is on the end of the phone to help you book your holiday. Kaisa herself can usually be found in the bustling office of the Levi Alpine Chalets. Kaisa, who after a break of a few years ended up back in Levi, makes sure that the service runs smoothly and customers can indulge in enjoying their holiday from the very first moment.
In her free time, Kaisa enjoys the nature of Lapland and all it’s seasons by hiking, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing.
